Principal's Update - 21 March, 2023

Dear parents,

It has been good to see so many of you at school events over the last few weeks. It is now very busy with a full calendar until the end of the year, so I am sure we will see many of you in the coming weeks!

I write to let you know that Ms. Nonie Adams, our Head of Primary School, is leaving BSB and China at the end of the academic year. Nonie has had a very positive, impactful seven years at the school and has been instrumental in making the primary school the happy, vibrant and successful environment that it is today. Not only is Nonie well respected in our community, but she has also forged excellent relationships with children, staff and parents and keeps the needs of the students at the heart of everything she does. She has been the main anchor in the storm of the pandemic. She has been here in China throughout and has given the school stability and direction amidst many challenges and changes; we are very grateful and indebted to her. There is still plenty of time to celebrate Nonie’s lasting impact on the school before she leaves us in July, but we wish her every happiness in her future as she returns home.

We have appointed a successor to the role and I am pleased to introduce to you Ms. Abigail Alexis-Olubuyide who will join us in August. We are delighted to have secured an experienced and passionate leader to take the primary school into the next era.

Next Tuesday, March 28th, at 1.40pm, primary school parents are invited to meet Abigail in person while she is visiting the school to get to know us. Places will be limited so please scan the QR code if you would like to attend:
