BSB Entries for NAE Virtual Musician of the Year 2021 Competition

Well done to the participants of the NAE Virtual Musician of the Year 2021 competition!

Once again, our BSB students have wowed us with their amazing talent for the Nord Anglia Global Campus Virtual Musician of the Year competition! From harp to French horn to voice, 43 students have shared stunning musical performances with our global community. Currently their entries are being judged by Juilliard guest artists, and the winners of this worldwide competition will be announced in February. It is a lot of hard work to prepare performances and also requires bravery and confidence to send a video to the judging panel as well as have NAE families from all over the world view their work.

Special recognition goes to the 14 students who participated in last year’s competition and were delighted to do it again. Well done to Primary students Mary Zhao, Albert Zhang, Bovin Kim, Emma Feng, Action Han, Christopher Kicker, Jeina Anada and Minchae Kang and Secondary students Annali Zhao, Elaine van der Chijs, Arihant Bhattacharjee, Ayisa Yao, Hannah Patuschka, and Alexander Liu. Also, a special mention to Sophia in Y6 and Arihant in Y8 who submitted two entries on two different instruments – excellent work in being ambitious!

I must extend a personal thank you to all the families who supported their child and helped them to upload and submit the videos. We are very proud of all of our students and want the NAE world to see them too!
