We are excited to share with everyone, our new sister school NAS Beijing is expected to open in September 2019. The unique bilingual learning experience at NAS Beijing will offer students aged 6 – 18 years old the best of eastern and western education resources and philosophies. The bilingual curriculum will be based on the Beijing K-12 curriculum blended with globally respected international curriculum elements and teaching methods. Students will gain a solid foundation of Chinese culture, whilst equipping them with the knowledge and skills they will need to be successful in an increasingly globalized world.

The school's boarding service will provide children with round-the-clock education, providing meticulous care and training in all aspects of children's personal character, academic development and social interaction. The mountains and waters make the learning environment tranquility, reducing the impetuousness. You can fully engage in learning in such a beautiful environment.

Global Campus

We are highly welcome NAS Beijing joining our school family through our 'Global Campus' platform to enrich students’ extracurricular life, develop their knowledge and broaden their horizons.

Bringing together a family of 53,000 students in 56 schools across 27countires, Global Campus enables our students to access to the best educational resources all over the world. Global Campus encourages students to taking part in various activities, challenges, and competitions and helps students explore the world, learn new skills and set their sights higher, developing a truly international perspective. Students engage in construction programs with the local village at Tanzania; take an expedition at Swiss Alps; go to top College du Leman in Switzerland for summer camps. Through these valuable learning experiences, students from all over the world interact and cooperate fully to develop each other's vision and build a profound friendship.

STEAM Project

We have been working with MIT for two years, our new approach to learning STEAM – science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, which is inspired with MIT “Mens et Manus” philosophy and aimed at helping students develop vital transferrable skills and learning across subjects, through experimentation, trial and error and creativity. Our new sister school NAS Beijing will join the “In-school challenge” to encourage students to work together to find innovative and creative solutions to complex problems in September 2019.  Our STEAM teachers will participate in workshops at MIT that expose them to the forefront of STEAM research and thinking. Every summer, Nord Anglia teachers visit MIT to receive hands-on training from MIT researchers and renowned academics.

The Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme

At Nord Anglia Education and NAS Beijing, we are passionate about all three performing arts. All students in our schools around the world experience music, dance and drama as they form an important part of our curriculum from the age of 6 right through to middle school. The keyboard acts as an entry point for music theory learning in our schools and is used as a tool to teach basic skills such as reading, music notation and understanding harmony. The best way for students to understand musical concepts is from first-hand experience with the keyboard and from the age of six, every student will use the keyboard to explore the fundamentals of music and notation by learning how to play this instrument. We strongly believe all three subjects play a crucial role in enabling our students to develop into intelligent, confident and well-rounded global citizens.

Child’s learning of the performing arts will be enhanced using a repertoire of core music, dance and drama works encompassing a wide range of genres, styles and cultures designed and hand selected by Juilliard. Teachers use Juilliard Creative Classroom, an extraordinary online collection of educational resources that have been designed to enhance and supplement performing arts curricula. Juilliard designed teaching materials – creative activities, historical information, rehearsal strategies, and professional development resources lead students through explorations of core works of music, dance, and drama and emphasize building students’ personal artistry through their own creativity.

UNICEF

We have teamed up with UNICEF to build a platform for children to discuss and develop together, and to contribute to solving the challenges faced by society as a whole. The Sustainable Development Goals are a collection of 17 goals set by the United Nations on social and economic development issues, and we hope to achieve them together by the year 2030.

Excellent academic achievement

The students of Nord Anglia Education (NAE) have achieved outstanding results. From the academic achievements of previous years, nearly one-third of the graduates in the group have successfully entered the top 100 universities in the world to continue their studies, and are accepted by the world's top universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, Stanford, and other universities. The IB pass rate for the 2017/2018 school year was 94%, while the global average pass rate was 78.4%.

Our Teachers

We hold the annual OTOS Teacher Recruitment Fair in London in January each year to recruit outstanding international teachers. In 2017, there were more than 40 applicants per position. The foreign teachers of the new school come from a number of schools within the group as well as the OTOS job fair.

Modern Facilities

Our schools are designed for comfort and well-being, and feature modern facilities for sport, study and the arts.

Our commitment is to create and maintain a safe, happy and child-centered environment in which children are inspired to become purposeful lifelong learners. The new Nord Anglia School Foshan has world class facilities, with the latest technology for learning and a nurturing environment for students.

The school's boarding facilities create an environment for students to learn and communicate. At the same time, all facilities are designed with great emphasis on comfort and safety. Boarding students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of cultural, creative and sports-related on weekends and evenings to expand their knowledge and learning skills.

In order to provide further information about our education philosophy and school facilities for parents, we will hold regular parent information session in Beijing. You are invited to contact us for attending our PIS.
