This week has seen the arrival of some new pets in Reception - our very quiet but still delightful little snails. They are busy sliding over soil and lounging on leaves throughout our Reception classrooms. The children have found it fascinating to observe their habits and see how these snails spend their days. They are much faster than we thought!
A part of our plants theme this week, the children are gardeners, botanists and nature enthusiasts, learning about nature and the tiny creatures that live around us. We have been digging in soil and making beautiful spring inspired art, as well as enjoying the warmer weather that has come with this new season.
We love this topic and it is wonderful to see the children engaging with the world around us!

Here, at BSB Sanlitun, we were pleased to host two weeks of visits of two Juilliard specialists from New York, across 3 full working days. Our Primary students got to experience a variety of lessons and teaching styles as Nick Mahmat and Brian Drye stepped into our classrooms and led music and drama activities.
What a wonderful day we had hosting our annual Chinese New Year Temple Fair on campus on Sunday. This great community event included games, a Lion Dance, Dragon Dance, a face changing performance, traditional crafts, a bouncy castle, food vendors and gift stalls. Thanks to everyone who made the event possible and magical!
