Year 6 have thoroughly immersed themselves in our English text this term, becoming crew members of Endurance before setting off on the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition.
In role, they were required to write CVs and attend job interviews with Ernest Shackleton and Frank Wild before writing goodbye letters and a series of diary entries recording the progress of the infamous expedition.
Along the way, Year 6 have learnt a fantastic variety of techniques to enhance their writing. It’s been wonderful to observe their highly enthusiastic and often quite emotional response to the subject matter as they brought this incredible story of endurance and ingenuity to life.

Our young adventurers in Year 3 took on two days full of fun, laughter, learning, and a touch of bravery on their Residential Trip this week. They returned with stories, smiles, and some seriously impressive new skills.
