Join Our Open Morning
This week in Nursery we started our topic of Winter Wonderland. Children were introduced to the story of Penguin's Adventure and this linked perfectly with their holiday adventure as they shared about their Christmas break.
We talked about the North Pole and some of the animals that live there. Children created igloos using sugar cubes and ice in provocation trays. We also incorporated some science into that with an ice experiment. Children observed what happened to the ice once they sprinkled salt onto it. They we fascinated by the cracking noise of the ice and fast melting process.
To remind active and to continue to develop and improve our coordination children danced to the Penguin song. This was a lot of fun as children pretended to be penguins.
