These are challenging times! In the midst of adversity Year 12 student and Senior Student Leadership leader Idenya is taking action to make a big difference to Save One Life, one life at a time. Learn more about his journey and what makes Idenya an inspiring global citizen here:
"Hello, my name is Idenya. I am 17 years old and a junior in high school. I have hemophilia B and have had several bleeds and health challenges as a consequence. However, I have access to clotting medication which helps to prevent bleeds from becoming life-threatening. I am taking on the Grand Canyon challenge to raise money and awareness about this medical condition. Medication is a right for anyone in need, and the funds I raise from this expedition will go to families who do not have adequate access to this life-saving medication.
Over the Christmas holidays, I went to India and got the chance to visit the Hemphilia Chapter of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. I made a short documentary on the experiences of the people with hemophilia over there."
