This year, following lots of hard work and dedication from our students, BIS HCMC finished in an impressive 6th place, out of 101 schools!
During the global competition, students were able to compete in 17 different languages. These included French, Spanish and Mandarin, which are the three languages that we offer at BIS HCMC.
Students were able to recap vocabulary previously learnt in the classroom, but they also had the opportunity to learn new vocabulary and practice it. In addition to expanding their vocabulary in languages they study at school, it was great to see many students exploring less familiar languages too. During the time of the competition an outstanding 21 million questions were answered by our participating students!
It was great to see how this competition strengthened a love for language-learning and enabled our students to engage with the wider community of FOBISIA schools.
We were delighted to see such a level of achievement in our school; a true reflection of how passionate our students are about learning languages and constantly striving to reach great heights. Some notable student performances across An Phu Primary Campus and Tu Xuong came from Tu Tu (YR5) who scored 8,757 points in French and came 8th amongst all of the students competing in French, and Edric (YR6) who scored 6,530 points in Chinese and came 5th amongst all of the students competing in Chinese.
A special well done to these students but congratulations to all who took part. We are already looking forward to next year!
