We are incredibly excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for International School of the Year in the Tes awards alongside 7 other schools from around the world. With hundreds of schools nominated, it’s a great honour for us to be shortlisted as one of the best international schools in the world and a testament to our exceptional leadership, teaching and support staff. This news comes shortly after we were selected for the “Ones to Watch” list of the “2023 Schools Index” by Carfax Education back last month.
Alongside our category of top international school of the year, the awards also recognise a further 12 categories with shortlisted schools nominated from 36 countries across the world. Selected by a panel of expert judges including school leaders, experts, and education researchers, the finalists will be announced on 25th April 2024.
Anthony Rowlands, Principal of BIS HCMC said
“I am thrilled to learn we have been shortlisted for the Tes International School of the Year award. There is no doubt this is a recognition of the quality and dedication of our wonderful school community. On behalf of our staff, parents and of course, our students thank you so much.”
TES was originally the ‘Times Educational Supplement’ and owned by the Times Newspaper in the UK. It was a weekly publication with articles about education whilst advertising teaching positions in the UK and overseas. Since being sold, it is now simply known as Tes but remains a very well-known and respected educational organisation.
Dan Worth, International Editor for Tes Magazine said, “The Tes Awards for International Schools give our inspiring international education colleagues across the world an opportunity to celebrate educational innovation and success in a raft of important areas.”
The shortlist highlights some incredible achievements across the sector and showcases the best that international schools delivering either the British Curriculum or International Baccalaureate have to offer across the world.
The awards have been supported by leading international school associations, including BSME (British Schools in the Middle East), COBIS, (Council of British International Schools), ECIS (The Education Collaborative for International Schools), FOBISIA (Federation of British International Schools in Asia), and the IB (International Baccalaureate), a global leader in international education.
The winners will be announced on 25 April 2024 at https://www.tes.com/school-awards.
