Application process

• Step 1 - Your pre-admission information

  To start your application, please complete an enquiry form with your childs:
  
  - Full name
  - Date of birth
  - Nationality.
  - Expected start date
  
  Once we’ve received your information, our admissions team will contact you within 24 hours (excluding weekends and public holidays). They'll let you know whether we have places available and talk you through the next steps.
• Step 2 - Come and visit us

  The best way to get a feel for our school is to come and see us in person. Our admissions team can arrange a personalised school tour. If you can't make it to Ho Chi Minh City, we'll organise a virtual tour and meet you online.
• Step 3 - Application form and supporting documents

  After taking a tour, you’ll need to complete your child’s online application form. You’ll also need to send us the following documents:
  
  - A copy of your child’s passport
  - A copy of your child's birth certificate.
  - A current identification photo of your child.
  - A copy of both parents passport or ID card.
  - Your child’s previous two or latest school reports (in English), if applicable.
  - A physical evaluation signed by a doctor (we will provide you with our form).
  - A copy of your child’s immunisation record.
  - Additional Educational Needs (AEN) assessment documents (if applicable).
  - Your child’s application fee (either in Vietnamese Dong or by bank transfer).
  - You will also need to sign and return to us, our Terms and Conditions form. (We will send this to you once you submit your application).
  
  Our admissions team will guide you through the documents required and how to send them.
• Step 4 - Admission assessments

  Every child is asked to sit age-appropriate admission assessments before we offer them a place. We will also ask you to provide recent school reports and ask for a teacher recommendation too.
  
  - Our admissions assessments may consist of online tests, written tasks, and an interview, depending on your child's age and native language. Our admissions team will guide you through what's required.
  - If English isn’t your child’s first language, they’ll need to sit our English as an Additional Language (EAL) assessment.
  - If your child is studying outside Ho Chi Minh City and can’t take the assessments at BIS HCMC, we’ll arrange for them to sit these remotely.
  - We may also invite your child to an interview with our Head of EAL, Deputy Head of Campus, and/or Head of Campus.
  - For students applying to Foundation Stages 1 and 2, we'll arrange a Family Admissions Meeting (FAM).
• Step 5 - Offering your child a place

  All being well, we’ll send you a letter formally offering your child a place.
  
  You’ll then need to pay our:
  
  - Registration fee, which is a one-off payment guaranteeing your child’s place, and which is payable within two weeks of receiving the offer letter.
  - Refundable security deposit and tuition fees, which are payable prior to your child starting school.
