As we come towards the end of the school year, I would like to share a few key events that are coming up with you.
Next week, we have our Transition meetings for F1 – Year 2, please see the dates below. Transition meetings are an important part of supporting your child through a change in their life as they move from one year group to another and for our younger children, this can often be more than we appreciate. Next week Ms Catherin Mullin along with the Early Years team and Jo Cranmer for Phase 1 will be leading a series of meetings for parents. During these meetings, teachers will share things you can do at home over the summer holidays to support your child prepare for the next academic year. Please see below for more details:
On Thursday, all Primary students will enjoy the Move Up morning when they spend the first two lessons of the day meeting their new teacher and learning more about life in their new year group. Our Year 6 students will also have their taster day in the Secondary School.
On Friday 16th June, there is an Assessment workshop online led by me and Ms. Clark – this is for parents in Years 3-6 whose children have recently taken the GL assessments. During this workshop, we will share with you how to interpret the results we send home.
And finally, on Tuesday 20th June, Mr. Atkinson and Ms. Colclough will be running a Parent Connect workshop on the topic of summer holiday activities for parents of children moving into Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 next year. They will share websites, resources and activities that you can do at home over the summer to help consolidate learning. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend
