It has been wonderful to return to our amazing community this week after some professional learning in China last week. The course I attended enabled me to connect with other Heads of Primary in the Nord Anglia group. I always feel a huge sense of pride in representing our school and community and sharing the incredible learning opportunities we provide for our students every day!
It is lovely to be back, though, and what a day to return: Vietnamese Teachers' Day! Welcoming the students arriving at school at the front door, it was lovely to see the kind gifts they had prepared for their teachers. Our amazing parent community had come together again to provide a fantastic breakfast for all the staff at BIS, for which we are extremely grateful.
Mr. Atkinson and I would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to those parents who were able to attend the Year 5/6 Coffee Morning this week. A celebration of term 1 highlights included reflections from students, and Mr. Atkinson shared more about his academic and pastoral role during overseeing Years 5 and 6. We believe that an informed and engaged parent community plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall educational experience for our children, and your enthusiasm and engagement demonstrated just that.
Our week finished on a blue note, with students and staff wearing blue in support of World Children's Day. Mr. Watkins and Ms. Goodwin celebrated this significant day with an engaging and informative assembly for Years 2–6.
Well done to everyone on a fantastic week. We are all so proud of the kindness and care from our wonderful students, parents, and school community.
