Weekly update from Head of Primary

Dear Parents,

Our Year 4 students absolutely blew the roof off on Thursday afternoon with their brilliant performance of ‘Aladdin Trouble'. They made us laugh, they made us cry, and they thoroughly entertained us with their storytelling, singing, and dancing. What struck me most watching them was how much they connected with the audience and engaged us, showing great stage presence and teamwork as they supported each other through this outstanding production.

It is not just the opportunity to take part in an event like this, but the growth we see in our students as they overcome challenges together and collaborate to deliver something of such a high standard. Like our residential programmes, when putting together a performance such as this, we also see how it sparks a passion for something new, creates new friendships, and leaves lasting memories of a special time together as a team. A huge thank you goes to our parents for being a brilliant audience but also supporting us with costumes, the learning of lines, and encouragement behind the scenes. To the Year 4 teaching assistants and teachers, thank you for inspiring our Year 4 students and for your tireless work in pulling this all together.

It was lovely to welcome back our Early Explorers in the last couple of weeks and lovely to see new faces joining on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. We are now full in two classes (12-24months) and have a waiting list but hope to open an additional class if we can. If you would like to come for a free trial session or would like more information, please contact earlyexlporers@bishanoi.com.

BIS Coronation Lunch

Finally, a date for your diaries: on Monday, May 8th, BIS will be celebrating the Coronation of King Charles with a special Coronation lunch. All students are invited to wear their 10th anniversary t-shirts to school and will enjoy some British flavours on the menu as well as coronation-themed activities during the day.
Wishing you a wonderful long weekend.
