Dear Parents,
What an incredible final week of term it has been. Over the last two weeks, teachers and phase leaders have been reviewing the progress that each and every individual student has made. Growth and steps forward in attitude to learning, academic progress, behaviour, confidence, risk-taking; there are so many different areas where students have taken leaps forward. We know that each one of our students is unique and has their own success story, but collectively across classes, year groups and the Primary school as a whole, they have made excellent progress in a range of areas across the curriculum: We are proud of them all.
Year 2 were amazing story-tellers with an important message this week when they delivered their production “ Bee, the musical”! Their eye-catching costumes only enhanced their engaging performances capturing the audience from start to finish. Communicating confidently through song, dance and drama it was an absolute triumph – congratulations to all involved; what a wonderful way to end the term!
On Tuesday and Wednesday this week, we also waved off our intrepid Year 4 and 5 adventurers, who were heading for Ba Vi and Cuc Phuong. They returned on Thursday at the end of the day, a little more tired but certainly richer for the shared experiences and new opportunities that are unique to partaking in school trips such as these. Our students came back full of stories and tales of new experiences, aspirations for future careers (such as fishing and farming) and seemingly, a little taller than before they set off! They took risks, tried new things and made new bonds with friends through shared times that they will remember forever; from memory, I know these are the stand-out moments in our school years as well.
Congratulations to everyone on a fantastic Term. A special thank you to our amazing parents, for your continued support at entry points, parent connect sessions and sporting events, to name a few. We really appreciate your efforts and look forward to another successful term after a well-earned rest!
Happy holidays!
