Key Dates | Primary Learning Highlights
Dear Parents,
This school year is really getting underway and it has been a hive of activity since my update last week. The House Sorting was a fantastic way to welcome all our new staff and students into their team houses and I am excited to see the house events and activities that take place throughout the year.
This week has seen many children begin their topics for this term through exciting entry points. Years 2,3 and 4 have had a visiting pirate, travelling around Vietnam and taking a step back in time to experience life as an ancient Egyptian. All these exciting experiences enable the students to hook into their topic and provide experiences that set the scene for the learning to come.
In Early Years, our youngest children have showed such bravery as they've become more settled into their new environment and routines. It is wonderful to see the progress they have made in such a short time. Well done to all the parents too! We know how challenging it can be for you when your child starts school.
It was wonderful to welcome so many parents into school this week for our ‘Meet the Teacher’ sessions. This event was well attended and it was great to see parents reconnecting. We are all still thoroughly enjoying the start of this year with face to face learning and a full events calendar too!

We are looking forward to seeing you all at the Welcome Back Event later on and wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

At BIS, in addition to the excellent opportunities we are providing in the classroom, we enrich the students experiences and learning by taking them on day trips.
