Weekly update from Head of Primary

Dear Parents,

Thank you to all parents who attended the Primary Parents’ Evening meetings this week. The teachers and specialists enjoyed talking about your children’s progress and sharing the next steps and strategies for supporting them at home. If for some reason, you missed the appointment or were not able to attend, please don’t hesitate to contact us to reschedule. We are always here to help.

Our Primary Learning Spotlight series returns this week with Year 3 students showing their exciting Entry Point last week. The purpose of these videos is to showcase the learning happening across the Primary school each week.

As we mentioned in last week's newsletter, our Virtual Tet Race 2022 has launched at the beginning of this week and will remain until 26th January. This is an opportunity to: raise money for a local charity; get everyone moving and earn house points for your House Team. For every kilometre, the students cover, they will earn a house point. At the end of the competition, the House with the most points will become the race champion.

We are also asking all families to donate VND100,000 and this money will go to the National Children’s Cancer Hospital. Please make donations at the school gate and from next week we will advertise some collection points across the city to make it easier whilst we are in Virtual School.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,

Rebecca Carroll

Head of Primary

Our Year 3s returned to Term 2 with their exciting Entry Point in their new topic 'Footprints from the past - DINOSAURS'. During the week, the students engaged in various activities such as dressing up as Paleontologists or with Dinosaur costumes, making fossils from salt dough and creating dinosaur silhouette pictures. It was such a fascinating learning week for Year 3 students and we can't wait to see the progress they will make after this term.
