The "LifeFuel" ECA is an exciting initiative by the Primary Library, aimed at promoting balanced eating and overall well-being. This program is inspired by two of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3) and Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12). These goals focus on ensuring healthy lives, promoting well-being for all, and encouraging sustainable practices.
In this ECA, students explore various food groups and learn how to make ingredient swaps that maintain both flavor and nutritional benefits. It is crucial for children to understand the impact of what they eat, as the energy they gain from food directly influences their ability to perform their best—both physically and mentally. At this stage in their lives, having the right energy levels can make the difference between an amazing and a challenging day of learning, whether inside or outside the school walls.
Through hands-on activities and creative approaches, participants gain the skills to design a healthy, vibrant diet with foods they enjoy. The school is committed to empowering students to make positive impacts on themselves and the world, and this program is a step towards achieving that vision. By uncovering the essentials of nutrition, students will engage in a fun and interactive learning journey, equipping themselves with the knowledge to make delicious and wholesome choices that fuel their success every day.
