Join us for BCB’s Primary and Secondary Open Morning event on 12th December 2024, from 8:00 to 10:00 AM, at our CF Campus.
BCB is hard at work over this winter period to improve facilities in The Secondary School. With the pandemic making things a little harder than usual there has been progress in the building of a second science laboratory that will also be a Makerlab where STEAM activities will take place making use of Nord Anglia´s exclusive partnership with Massachusetts Institute of Technology. (www.mit.edu).
Two meetings have already happened with an architect and it is with excitement that I can reveal the design inspiration taken from an existing MIT lab:
This is the space (below) that has been selected for the new MakerLab which will provide more opportunities for practical Science for our pupils but also an opportunity for STEAM to grow @ BCB. STEAM is a multi-disciplinary approach (science, technology, engineering, art and math) to study that is closely aligned to Project Based Learning which we had our first go at the end of this past academic year!
I will keep you posted with pictures of this and other developments in Secondary over the coming weeks.
Embarking on a new academic journey can be both exhilarating and nerve-wracking, especially when starting at a new international school. Here at BCB, we understand the mix of emotions that new students might be experiencing, from excitement to anxiety. In this blog post, we'll explore 5 tips that can help create an environment that's welcoming, safe, and conducive to the growth and success we wish upon all our students.
