Year 4 welcomed guest speaker Marcos DeBrito Marcos DeBrito, a successful terror book writer and author of cinema horror movies came into class to speak to Yr4 CF children about being an author, scriptwriter, and director of cinema.

Year 4 CF would like to thank Marcos DeBrito for coming into school to see them on Thursday. It was a wonderful experience for the children to hear first hand all about cinema; directing, writing, acting and filming.They got to see lots of props, masks and asked many questions. Marcos explained to the children that he was inspired to write horror stories due to his fear as a child of the dark. Some children were fascinated to discover that many special effects are done with a green screen and are now inspired to make their own short films. Thank you Marcos- Miss Kemp-Garcia and Miss Parker are now a little bit less afraid of spooky films.

This week we held staff training on performance management. As a school we always strive to be better and to do this we all need to learn, reflect, and set targets to improve. We do this with our children on a daily basis, so it is important we do this as a staff.
