BCB students attended the Festival for the first time. Six other schools participated, being from Paraguay and Brazil, we were small in numbers but we were able to compete with school who were twice and sometimes three times as big as us.We only had 11 middle school students, who, even though they were a small number, left their mark on the festival with their effort, dedication and affection with the other students. Sports were merely a vehicle in bringing the students together to socialize among themselves and build their character and self esteem. Students played Soccer, basketball and field soccer. Our 3 girls showed great effort determination and great sportsmanship in soccer, in one of the games the coach came to tell me that he was impressed with the girls game and with their collaboration with the team. Our students have made many friendships with both Brazilians and Paraguayans, even the school teachers are impressed with the education and sympathy of the students. The festival of friendship left great memories, we all left there with the longing to return. I hope that the BCB can now be part of this family and that we can participate in the next years with the same spirit and the same enthusiasm.
