On Tuesday the children in Year One celebrated the first day of Lunar New Year.

Good luck is believed to begin when the clock strikes midnight and it was a very lucky day for us! The children were thrilled to watch and learn the traditional Lion Dance that is usually performed during Lunar New Year Parades. We made lion and dragon masks and wore them when having a go at the dance. Some children made colourful paper fans and turned them into dragon puppets. Eating our snack with chopsticks was the hardest task of the day. Happy New Year to all families who celebrate it!
