The Key Stage 4 curriculum includes the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), which is one of the world’s most respected academic qualifications. Students can demonstrate their independence, as well as tailor their learning with a selection of optional subjects. The IGCSE is exam-based, assessed through Cambridge International Education, AQA, and Pearson Edexcel.
The Key Stage 4 curriculum supports academic, social, and personal growth and provides a solid launchpad for the academic rigour of the IBDP. Our results speak for themselves: last academic year, 37% of our IGCSE students achieved at least eight A’s or A*’s, helping them successfully apply to top universities.
We ensure students make the curriculum choices that are right for them through a specially designed decision-making process which begins in Year 9. This includes PSHE lessons, subject information week, taster sessions, form tutor mentoring, careers assemblies and the Year 9 Options Evening.
