We were honoured to welcome two incredible metacognition specialists, Emily and Sarah, from the Nord Anglia Education Central Team to our school recently. As leading experts in the Nord Anglia Metacognition Research Project—a pioneering initiative in partnership with Boston College, USA—they are shaping the future of learning across Nord Anglia schools worldwide.
During their visit, Emily and Sarah led an engaging parent workshop, ‘What is Metacognition and How You Can Support Your Child's Metacognitive Development.’ This dynamic session gave parents practical strategies and insights to help guide their children on their metacognitive journey.
From interactive activities to collaborative discussions, parents explored the key routines and learning experiences that enhance children's thinking and learning in the classroom. The workshops for both Primary and High School parents were incredibly well-attended, with fantastic participation from everyone. Together, we’re fostering a culture of lifelong learning and empowering our students to think deeply and learn meaningfully.
Thank you to all the parents who joined us and made these sessions so impactful!
