After a year of dedicated effort, students from Key Stage 2 proudly presented their production of Beauty and the Beast Jr to the school community. The students' hard work during rehearsals culminated in a spectacular performance. Remarkably, some cast members had never participated in a production before, yet their confident and expressive performances shone brightly.
This year, we were so happy to have many students express interest in joining the production, it was a significant increase from last year’s production of Honk Jr. The Performing Arts programme offers children valuable opportunities to develop performance, presentation, and social skills. When asked if they would participate again, one student eagerly responded that they would, highlighting the chance to meet new people and make new friends.
We extend special thanks to Ms Gemma for hand-painting the stained glass windows and creating Beast’s head, Ms Alison and Ms Leanne for their assistance throughout the rehearsal process and production ECA, Ms Kim for her exceptional choreography, ideas, and hair and makeup, Ms Anna for her musical direction and Mr Jonny for leading the production ECA and directing the overall production. We also thank everyone across the school and the parent community for their unwavering support throughout the year.
With the goal of providing meaningful help to the flood victims in the northern regions of Thailand, our entire community at St Andrews Bangkok came together to raise funds and donations for the affected families. In the span of a few short weeks, added to donations of food and clothing, we managed to raise an astounding total of 386,676.50 THB in donation funds. To all students, teachers, parents, and staff who participated in our efforts and contributed to this cause—thank you!
Last Friday, the STA Primary campus was transformed into a celebration of all things maths! The day was packed with engaging, hands-on activities across all year groups, making maths truly come alive for our students.
