The first half of this term has flown by, and we are approaching our postponed International Day, taking place this Friday! We have plenty of reasons to be excited for the coming months as our Under 15 Boys Football safely experienced their first competitive match in almost a year! We are all looking forward to more fixtures soon, with Badminton and Cricket fixtures up next and big plans for after half-term!

The first half of this term has flown by, and we are approaching our postponed International Day, taking place on Friday this week in the High School.

While we will not have the traditional PTG-inspired International Buffet, Epicure has prepared an especially International menu for the day. The day will begin with time in Tutor Groups, including the traditional International Day Quiz, with the usual timetable for most of the day, but with Key Stage 3 classes working on standalone internationally-themed lessons in each of the subjects.

The highlight of the day will be an extended Break, with both our usual Flag Parade and a number of performances in the Atrium - last year’s Flag Parade and one of the dances are shown on the poster above.

Most years, International Day is the grand finale of the first half-term of the school year. This Friday, I am sure it will be a great way to finish the first half-term of 2022.

VEX Thai Nationals

On Saturday, the High School hosted the VEX Thai Nationals, with students from schools all over Bangkok competing in the culmination of hours of hard work, building their robots with a range of preallocated parts and planning to compete, and cooperate, in Pitching In, a game in which two robots work together to throw balls into a central hoop. You can read more about this on our website.

Thank you to Mr Rob, Ms Sam, Ms Holly, Mr Marc W and Nicky and Wen Wen (Year 13), as well as our Estates and IT teams, for all their work on this event - There was a great atmosphere throughout the day, and it was fantastic to be able to host an event like this.

Fixtures are back…

On Friday afternoon, the Under 15 Boys Football team travelled to Bangkok Patana for their first match in almost a year. We are all looking forward to more fixtures soon, with Badminton and Cricket fixtures on Thursday this week and big plans for after half-term.

High School Calendar - Term 2

The last four weeks have gone very quickly, especially for Year 11 and 13 students with their Mock Exams taking place in recent weeks. These students will receive their Exam Reports on Friday, to be followed by Year 11/13 Parent/Student/Teacher Meetings in the week after half-term. Ms Sasha and Ms Nikki will send details to Year 11/13 parents very soon.

The current COVID situation in Thailand means that we are still working on this term’s High School Calendar, especially on Sports events, but the main events are shown below.

Please remember that all the school's live Google Calendars can be seen via Moodle.

Have a relaxing, enjoyable, safe and healthy half-term!

Mr Roo
Head of High School
