Back to School!

It was great to have all Year Groups back in school today.

As you can see, whether it was Year 7 PE, Year 9 Dance, Year 10 Biology or Year 11 Art, the students were very quickly back into life at school after last week’s week of VSE, and there was a lovely atmosphere around the school, with the students again following all our physical distancing guidelines.

While we know that some students cannot come into school at this time, due to COVID infection, a recent High Risk contact or their travel plans being disrupted, we hope that more and more students will be able to be in school, and experience face-to-face lessons like those shown above, over the coming weeks.

Thank you all again for updating the Health App last week, allowing us to have a full picture of the current health of our community, and your understanding and support as we continue to build on the success of Term 1 in keeping our whole community safe and healthy.

As part of this, this morning we checked that all students had a photograph of their most recent ATK test, with their name and the date of the test written on the test in a permanent marker (as in my example below), when they arrived at the school, at the same time as they had their temperatures taken.

The small number of students who were unable to show this photo, or whose ATK test was not annotated as in my example, were not able to enter the school until they had taken another ATK test.

Students, and teachers, will be asked to show their most recent photo when they arrive at school every morning, so should keep today’s photo, and then have a new one ready for their arrival at school on Wednesday.

High School Calendar - Term 2

The staggered start to Term 2, and the current COVID situation in Thailand, mean that we are still working on this term’s High School Calendar, but the main events are shown below.

In next week’s Newsletter, I will include a pdf version, showing more of the events that are planned for this term. Please remember that all the school's live Google Calendars can be seen via Moodle

NAE Parents Satisfaction Survey

At the end of last term, you will also have received an email from Mr Paul about this year’s NAE Parents Satisfaction Survey.

We run this survey at this time every year when we are starting to plan school developments for the next academic year. The survey covers all the key areas of the school including the learning environment and teaching we provide, the way in which we support your child’s social development, our range of facilities and the way in which we communicate with our families.

We would very much like you to complete this survey as your feedback helps us to provide the best possible experiences for your child. While this link takes you through Moodle, please be assured that your responses are completely anonymous. The survey is designed to capture feedback on a per-family basis, but if both parents take the survey this is also fine. Please note that parents need to complete the survey in one sitting.
