Year 1 experience the world through delightful aromas. Year 5 take inspiration from the Romans and also learn about light creating their own periscopes. Year 4 produce ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ Dioramas!
Year 1 have been looking at their senses and, in particular, their sense of smell. They have created scents at home on their own using different materials like ginger, cinnamon and lime. What a fantastic idea, it would be great to smell these exciting scents!
Over the last couple of weeks, the Year 5 children have created their Roman-inspired mosaic pictures. They have done a fantastic job with their beautiful designs. Well done!
Also, Year 5 have been learning how light travels in straight lines and reflects off some surfaces. We then learned how submarines use periscopes to see out of the water before making our own. Here is Jeju’s (5L) fantastic example:
Year 4 have enjoyed their project week on the theme of 'In a world of pure imagination' inspired by the wonderful Roald Dahl book ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. Here are some fantastic Dioramas they have created. Well done!
Eloise reflects on her experiences representing St Andrews International School at the annual Remembrance Day service hosted by the British Club in Bangkok. Students at St Andrews International School Bangkok have begun an exciting artificial intelligence project: integrating Nord Anglia’s “Misty the Robot” with conversational AI model, ChatGPT. Under the guidance of our Head of Robotics, Mr Rob Parker, they recently presented their results to Regional Managing Director, Mr Shaun Williams, as well as the Board of Directors at St Andrews, with the proposition of growing this project as a collaborative research venture across Nord Anglia schools.
