Recently, as part of a STEAM activity, the FS3 children grew their own rainbows at home! It was super exciting for them to see the water travel up the tissue and the colour mixing as they met in the middle.
International Dot Day is staged to encourage people of all ages to harness their creativity. The inspiration behind the event is the children’s book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. After reading the story “The Dot” FS3 children went on to make their own mark. It is a great day to connect and collaborate and to celebrate self-expression.

This week the Year 2 students have been studying bridges. The students looked at famous bridges and then selected their favourite to create a project. They looked at the history and geography of the bridges and put together some amazing facts. This Digital Book shows some of the amazing work that has been done by the Year 2s. Well done everyone!
This week in Year 4, the students have emerged themselves into the world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. During the week, they have worked extremely hard on making a diorama of their own room to put in Mr Wonka's factory. To help unveil their room the students have created a mock interview in Literacy with the man himself, Mr Willy Wonka. The students have put lots of effort into showing their creative videos. Well done!

With issues relating to climate change regularly appearing in the news, we thought it would be timely to provide the children with some learning on this. We’ve designed two ‘Ecobeast Bitesize’ lessons for teachers to explain the upcoming COP26 meeting of world leaders in Glasgow in November.
It is part of our approach to ensure our sustainability lessons are focused on not just explaining problems, but also the solutions available. COP26 is a chance for politicians to review targets for reducing carbon emissions and decide on further policies to tackle climate change.
All Primary children are invited to enter a video in our house competition. The winning entry will be selected from Key Stage 2 and entered in an international competition run by the Trust for Sustainable Living for which there is a £500 cash prize.
The videos should last no longer than 1 minute and focus on the theme ‘the need for climate action and a green revolution.’ We will award all entries house points and can’t wait to see the children’s messages.

With the goal of providing meaningful help to the flood victims in the northern regions of Thailand, our entire community at St Andrews Bangkok came together to raise funds and donations for the affected families. In the span of a few short weeks, added to donations of food and clothing, we managed to raise an astounding total of 386,676.50 THB in donation funds. To all students, teachers, parents, and staff who participated in our efforts and contributed to this cause—thank you!
Last Friday, the STA Primary campus was transformed into a celebration of all things maths! The day was packed with engaging, hands-on activities across all year groups, making maths truly come alive for our students.
