We look back at some of the successes of our teams at BISP Soccer 7s and look forward to BISAC Season 2.
Last week our Varsity & U13 Boys and Girls travelled to Phuket for the Annual BISP Soccer 7s showing excellent teamwork and attitude throughout their games.
Our U13 Girls showed tremendous character and fight to reach the Quarterfinal of the Cup competition where unfortunately they lost on penalties. The ‘never give up’ attitude they displayed was a credit to STA.
Captained superbly by Manuela and Pear, the senior girls played some of their best football to finish fourth overall in the cup competition. Emma was the top goal scorer within the STA team and Prae was outstanding in goal to win the prestigious Golden Glove Award for all goalkeepers within the over 15 girls competition.
The Varsity Boys showcased their free-flowing football, losing only one game over the entire weekend against the eventual winners, finishing third overall.
BISAC season 2 is up and running with Basketball, Badminton, Football & Tennis fixtures already taken place. Well done to all those who have represented St Andrews International School Bangkok over the week. It’s been great to see you all compete! You can check out all of our week’s BISAC Fixtures & Results here.
As part of the St Andrews Careers programme, Year 10 and Year 12 students had the valuable opportunity to hear from 20 industry professionals, including alumni, about various career pathways. The morning panel discussions provided insights into professional routes, required qualifications, and essential interpersonal skills for workplace success.
As Term 3 comes to an end, three senior students, Eleonore, Natalie, and Ananya, reflect on their experiences in the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews International School Bangkok. Perhaps one of the most meaningful projects Ananya and Natalie took on during their senior studies was starting a foundation with a few other friends called Today4tomorrow – an initiative to provide opportunities to underprivileged girls in Thailand.
