The library has prepared a bookshelf for the SDG Book Club as part of our library collection and will update it with a new theme every month.
Since the beginning of this academic year, the Simon Lawrence Library has participated in the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Book Club, displaying their recommended books related to 17 goals. The SDG Book Club aims to encourage children to interact with the principles of the SDGs through a curated reading list of books from the world. The library has prepared a bookshelf for the SDG Book Club as part of our library collection and will update it with a new theme every month. We have already introduced books for Goal 1 & 2 and will continue to add more books from the reading list for Goal 3 & 4 soon. For more information, please visit the SDG Book Club website.
The Library at St Andrews International School Bangkok has recently refreshed the new arrival section with interesting new titles. We carefully selected books in historical and classic fiction. If you are interested in these genres please come to have a look. We hope you enjoy reading them. As part of the St Andrews Careers programme, Year 10 and Year 12 students had the valuable opportunity to hear from 20 industry professionals, including alumni, about various career pathways. The morning panel discussions provided insights into professional routes, required qualifications, and essential interpersonal skills for workplace success.
As Term 3 comes to an end, three senior students, Eleonore, Natalie, and Ananya, reflect on their experiences in the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews International School Bangkok. Perhaps one of the most meaningful projects Ananya and Natalie took on during their senior studies was starting a foundation with a few other friends called Today4tomorrow – an initiative to provide opportunities to underprivileged girls in Thailand.
