The first week of our exciting Summer School Programme has been a great success.
Year 3 Teacher, Helen Ball reflects: "The explorer children have had a wonderful week settling into Summer School here at Regents International School. They have taken part in so many activities including: movement and dancing, making paper craft farm animals, painting mini beasts, reading books, exploring the mud kitchen, splashing in the water play area outside, swimming in the pool, and playing with their new friends. The children have also been on an adventure walk into the forest and enjoyed exploring the natural world. Horse Shoe Point was brilliant fun with children learning all about horses and ponies. It has been an exciting week for everyone and we cannot wait for next week’s amazing activities based on the theme of water and the sea!"
Blerta Prendi, a Year 6 Teacher, has said: "It has been an exciting and busy week for the Voyager group this week. The children have enjoyed a variety of activities, including painting, paper weaving, nature collage, kite making, sports activities, poetry writing, etc. The highlight of the week was our trip to Harbour Land, where the children enjoyed climbing, sliding, role play and socialising with each other. Looking forward to next week with even more fun activities planned."
The highlight for the older group of students, the Pioneers, was most definitely their adventurous day trip to Flight of the Gibbon, where they jumped from high tree tops and zip-lined through the tropical Thai forest. Secondary English Teacher Liam Steele states: "The Pioneers have been having a wonderful time. From dodgeball to swimming they've done it all with such a positive attitude. Lukas says "my favourite part of the week for the Flight of the Gibbon, the final drop where you whizzed down the rope was really fun and exciting.""
