Save the date February 5th 2022! All the details you need to know with regards to the VEX Robotics Nationals at St Andrews International School Bangkok.
In the lead up to the competition, teams work hard to build their robots using the preallocated parts. The preallocated parts are the same for every team and are designed for the VEX Nationals game 'Pitching In'.
'Pitching In' is a cooperative game for which two robots need to work together to throw balls into a central hoop. Points are awarded for scored goals. Then, at the end of the game, robots are required to hang from a set of bars on the pitch. The more points awarded, the better!
Winners can receive trips to the global round of the competition, where the best of the best robot builders from around the world go to compete.
St Andrews students have been working hard to engineer their robots to be their best for Nationals.
For the last two weeks, two of our VEX teams have been in the US, competing at the VEX World Championships in Dallas.

Students at St Andrews International School Bangkok have begun an exciting artificial intelligence project: integrating Nord Anglia’s “Misty the Robot” with conversational AI model, ChatGPT. Under the guidance of our Head of Robotics, Mr Rob Parker, they recently presented their results to Regional Managing Director, Mr Shaun Williams, as well as the Board of Directors at St Andrews, with the proposition of growing this project as a collaborative research venture across Nord Anglia schools.
