Dancers must submit a video of one, two-minute solo (ballet, modern, or jazz).
Interview
Following your SlideRoom application, applicants must interview with the Coordinator. To schedule an interview with the Dance Department, email Lisa.Anderson@nbps.org.
*Students who have earned a Fine Arts Scholarship are offered the option to choose the Arts Academy Program during their course counseling meeting and will be invited to an interview.
Instrumentalists must submit two or three contrasting works from the standard repertoire of their instrument.
Vocalists must sing two contrasting works, performed from memory, with live piano or pre-recorded accompaniment. Composition applicants must include two or three original compositions.

Musical Theatre applicants must submit one monologue from a published play and one song from a published musical (internet monologues and original works will not be accepted) together totaling less than four minutes. If applying with an Acting Focus, please submit two contrasting monologues from a published play.

Film applicants must submit two of the following samples.
1) A writing portfolio consisting of original work that best represents who you are as a writer. (Max 500 words) Work can be in a short story or screenplay format
2) A short film or video in any style, including live-action, experimental, documentary, or animation. This can also be in the form of a portfolio reel with multiple films. Limit length to max 5 minutes.
3) A storyboard of 10 to 15 still images or drawings of your making arranged in an order that you feel tells a story (combined into one pdf).
Photography applicants must submit a pdf or slideshow containing 10-20 original images placing only 1 image on each slide/page. Each slide/page must include a caption that explains the photographer's vision for the individual image, along with camera settings and the editing process.

Visual Art: In 1-5 media uploads, share a portfolio that includes 10-15 items that demonstrate your skills, personality, and creativity. It may include brainstorms, initial sketches, or finished work. These could include 2D - drawing, painting, printmaking, 3D sculpture, digital art, mixed media, or animation.
Your portfolio may be a combination of any of the following file types: .pdf, .jpeg, .mov, .gif. PDFs may have a maximum of 15 still “slides/pages” with no embedded links or videos. A single “slide/page” may have multiple images and text. (i.e., title, date, dimensions, materials, brief description).
A maximum of 15 items will be reviewed by the selection committee.
