Thank you to the NAISR delegates who attended this year's MUN Conference for increasing awareness of issues that are important to our global community.
This year's Model United Nations conference at the Gymnasium Hagnum in The Hague was another very busy one; more than 600 students from around the world attended.
Grade 11 NAISR students, Theophile, Beatriz, Arushi, and Julia were among them serving as United Nations delegates, diligently working on resolutions for Amnesty International, the Republic of Chad and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The important issues that NAISR delegates were assigned to help resolve included determining the effects of the refugee crisis on labor markets, minimizing the socio-economic influence of drug cartels in developing countries, the elimination of international terrorist recruitment agencies, the inclusion of gender identity in anti-discrimination laws and how to deal with the power vacuum left after the defeat of the Islamic State of Iraq.
Congratulations to the NAISR delegates and many thanks to them for increasing awareness of issues that are important to our global community.
