NAISR Debating Club

Debate Club

Two teams from the NAISR Debating Club will be attending workshops and competitions in the coming weeks. After dedicating long hours to refining their content, strategy, and style in both policy and normative debates, our students are eager to meet debaters from other schools, engage in competitive debating, and learn from experienced peers across the region.

This week, two groups took part in Nord Anglia's Global Campus Debates as they prepared for upcoming debate meet-ups. The Global Campus online debates challenged our students to engage with global issues in a dynamic and interactive online space, connecting with fellow Nord Anglia learners from around the world. Following this online experience, our students will head to the center of Rotterdam for their first in-person, off-campus debate of the year.
NAISR is sending two teams and a support group to participate in the International Schools Debating League (ISDL) at RISS on March 22. Excitement is high as students look forward to debating in a face-to-face competitive environment. Just a week later, the same groups will travel to Amsterdam for ISA's British Parliamentary Style Debating Competition on March 29. The event begins with three hours of intensive workshops, followed by three rounds of competitive debating. Students will travel together from Rotterdam Centraal and will be chaperoned throughout the trip.
We wish our teams the best of luck as they showcase their skills and represent NAISR in these exciting events!
