Dear Parents,
Welcome to our new Academic Year, 2024-2025! I hope that our families have had a restful and relaxing summer break, with everyone raring to go for the year ahead.
It is my absolute pleasure to write to you today as this is my very first day in school as your new Head of Primary. It has been wonderful to welcome children back into school this morning, all keen to get straight into their classes to meet friends and build relationships.
The first day of school is marked by a number of firsts; the first-time children will make and meet new friends, the first time they meet new teachers, the first time some children will have been on the Panda playground – a special welcome to our new Year 1 children and families.
It will also be the first of many times that children come home to talk about their day with their families and loved ones. This is a wonderful time to share in your child’s day from their eyes. We can share in their excitement and start to help them to understand how they will learn in school or perhaps how to build friendships in school. It really is a brilliant time of the year for our children here at NAISHK!
Throughout the day, children, teachers and teaching assistants have also all helped our school building to come back to life after its solitary summer break. As I was reminded by a colleague this morning, the children bring the energy and change the feel of the building. It becomes warm, friendly, and inviting even when it may be cloudy outside.
Finally, I look forward to working alongside an amazing team here at NAISHK as well as our parent community as we continue to support our children to be the best version of themselves, every single day.
