Léman Students entertained the audience with some fantastic Slam Poetry last Friday at the Bookworm Restaurant in Chengdu. Twelve students prepared a poem for the topic‘ Behind the Mask’ and spoke eloquently and passionately throughout their performances.
There were 4 categories:
Grade 3 & 4 represented byTiffany Vo, Muhammad Saadullah and Alexandra Genberg;
Grade 5 & 6 represented by Eleanor Loeper-Viti, Michelle Vo and Sheryl Zha;
Grade 7 to 9 represented by Jasmine Penstone-Miller, Zion Wilkinson and Ammani Khan;
Grade 10 to 12 represented by Muhammad Abdullah, Danyal Bokhari and Oliver Davidson.
Our students demonstrated their skills in both literary and performance skills writing their poems independently and performing them with confidence. Their support for each other and their impeccable behaviour made them a credit to the school.
At the end of this wonderfully creative day Léman International School took first place in 3 of the 4 categories, and 2nd place in two of the 4 categories.
