On Saturday, September 16th, Léman played host to the first CISA Exchanges of the 2023-2024 school year. CISA Exchanges are events held mid-season so that student-athletes can experience a tournament-style environment with multiple games in preparation for the official CISA Tournament at the end of the season.
Léman International School Chengdu recently had the pleasure of hosting Emily Cai a former student and International Admissions Team member from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), who engaged with students from Léman International School’s Visual Arts DP students as well as the MYP Y10/11 students. Emily, a representative of SAIC, presented valuable information about the university, answered questions regarding the application process, shared exemplary portfolios from past students, and enlightened the audience on available scholarship support.&

Paul has over 20 years of teaching and leadership experience in both UK and International schools. Paul will move into his new role from the 1st of August and comes with a breadth of experience in implementing and launching both the IB Diploma and Middle Years Programme's.
One of the highlights of the day was our Family Scavenger Hunt, a delightful opportunity for parents, children, and educators to come together and engage in a series of fun activities which took them to our newly renovated learning spaces all around campus. All families immersed themselves in the world of learning as they took on the MIT STEAM Challenge, showcasing their creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills in our brand-new STEAM center.
It is with great pleasure and excitement that we introduce Mr. Robert Dolan as our Acting Head of Primary School at Léman International School Chengdu. Robert joined our community last academic year and has since become a well-known and respected member of our school community.

Congrats to all our student delegates who were selected to attend this prestigious event, which is now back to being held in person. As we come to the end of an another academic year, we have celebrated all students in the last two weeks with summer concerts and prize giving. All students have worked hard throughout the year and have received recognition in many different ways such as the chance to perform on stage, stars of the week and house point winners, as well as winners in our internal and global Nord Anglia competitions.

Recently, Year 10, Year 11 and Year 12 students at LIS secondary school had the opportunity to gain insights into this critical area at an interactive workshop conducted by HR expert Mrs. Asiya Khan, a member of the LIS parent community.
Today the football enthusiasts in the Upper Primary school took part in a mini football tournament. By happy coincidence the timing of this event coincided with Children's Day, so I'm sure everyone involved had an enjoyable time! The tournament was played in the spirit of fair play and camaraderie that I would expect from Léman students!

The Léman International School held its Class of 2023 Graduation Ceremony at the Fairmont Hotel on Monday 22nd May. In attendance were the graduates, their families, classmates, and friends, all of whom had come to celebrate the occasion. What a fantastic two days we had at Animals Asia Sanctuary this week with our students in Y 5,6, and 7. Despite some light rainfall, and muddy trekking, an incredible outing emerged from the opportunity to see the Moon Bears, Sun Bears, and also Himalayan Brown Bears, specifically Benji Bear.
Year 8/9 Language Acquisition students recently had the opportunity to explore the famous Jinli Pedestrian Street in Chengdu, China. As part of their language studies, the students have been learning about street foods, food carts, and how foods can influence culture. They've also been working on developing their own business ideas for a food company, including creating menus, recipes, and information books.
