11 students from grades 7-12 travelled with Mr. Powell and Mrs. Mindorff November 17-19 to participate in Nord Anglia's fourth annual Model United Nations event held at NAIS Shanghai, Pudong campus. The theme of this event was ‘Unequal Opportunities’, which can relate to many different aspects of inequality: gender inequality, social inequality and political inequality. It also addressed problems within international relations.
This week we had the privilege to work once again with our Juilliard Curriculum Specialist, Ms. Erin Wight, a world-renowned violist from New York. She left us with lots of positive feedback as she mentioned how impressed she is with our students. She witnessed how each of our Léman students manifests the Performing Arts Learner Ambitions and the hard work they have accomplished in a short period of time.
Students from Grades 6 to 10 were involved in the Explore China trips. Students were involved in various learning experiences during these trips and returned from their adventures with fond memories as well as a greater sense of issues that affect the world we live in.

We would like to introduce our new Headmaster, Mr. David Mindorff. David is in his second year at our school, having worked for one year with us as Head of Secondary. David is taking over from Eric Larson who has assumed the role of Principal at an international school in Latvia.
