Join our upcoming Open Days to learn about the outstanding education at ISM
I have been teaching for seven years in the United Kingdom, Dubai and Moscow. I am very passionate about science and believe it is very important to teach it in an accessible and stimulating way in order to capture the interest of children from an early age.
I am very passionate about football, both playing and coaching, and hope to continue to explore this in the future. Another hobby of mine is playing the guitar.
I enjoy working at ISM as not only do their core principles correlate with my own teaching beliefs but the focus on the use of technology in the classroom is of great significance when teaching science. After all, where would technology be without science?
Research shows that confident students are more likely to succeed academically.
In fact, several science-backed studies cite self-confidence as the number one predictor of academic achievement. Researchers found that students with greater confidence were more willing to learn and challenge themselves. They were also more motivated, resilient, and capable of dealing with adversity.
At the International School of Moscow (ISM), our job is to build and nurture positive self-esteem in children. But what is confidence? And how does it affect academic performance?
