Healthy snacks

Children attending Playschool sessions will be provided with a healthy snack. This may include soft fruits and vegetables, crackers or yoghurt*. Please inform our Playschool team if your child has any dietary requirements. We also ask that all children bring their own water bottle.

School Readiness

We understand that school readiness begins early. Our programme for 1 and 2-year-olds is designed to introduce foundational skills through fun, age-appropriate activities that spark curiosity and encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development. With a focus on language, motor skills, and positive interaction, we gently guide your child toward independence and confidence, laying the groundwork for a successful learning journey ahead.

Fees and details

Our Playschool programme is designed for children aged 1 to 2 years old, offering a stimulating and nurturing environment. Sessions run from 8:30 to 11:45, with no nap time included, allowing children to actively engage in learning and play throughout their morning. The cost is 50,000 rubles per month.

Starting the Day with Play

Teachers gather the children for a short Circle Time session of singing and simple storytelling. It’s a great time to introduce new words, practice clapping, and develop early social skills.

Mid-morning, the Playschool children gather around small tables to have a nutritious snack; typically fruit, crackers or yoghurt. This is a time to develop fine motor skills, like using utensils or drinking from a cup.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a Playschool and how is it different to Kindergarten?

    The term “playschool” aims to describe an environment in which teachers guide the children to learn through play. Playschools encourage a child to wonder, to think, to feel and to imagine, and place a greater emphasis on experiential and social-emotional learning, rather than academic skills. ISM’s Playschool on our Rosinka campus is reflective of learning experiences around the world.

  • How will you care for the hygiene needs of my child?

    Parents are expected to provide a bag for changing which includes diapers, wipes, creams and spare clothes. Each child with nappies will have their own space for storage in the Playschool. Our experienced teachers will ensure that children are changed when needed.

  • Are we able to view the classroom and meet the teachers?
