My name is Jocelyn Teoh, an IB student at Nord Anglia International School Pudong. Currently, I am in the interview process to study English at the University of Cambridge.
I have been a student at NAIS for nearly nine years, which has allowed me to grow and develop as a learner and as an individual. I am immensely grateful to be benefiting from the outstanding teaching and I am also aware of how privileged I am to receive this high-quality education at such a reputable school.
Notably, the IB Diploma Program is offered with outstanding quality. As an IB student, I have enhanced my abilities to synthesize various subject areas, which has shaped me into a knowledgeable learner. In addition to applying knowledge to a range of disciplines, critical thinking is a key aspect of the IB that is especially prominent at NAIS. Students are encouraged to develop their analytical minds, supported by teachers with a wide range of expertise. This inspiring environment not only pushes students to be their best, but also shines on important contemporary issues that we must address as a school that operates in a global community.
Engaging in discussion with students of diverse cultural backgrounds has prompted me to be more open-minded. Our cohesive system of learning involves being reflective on a personal and collective scale, which regularly stimulates new challenges and develops our international mindedness.
The IB is certainly an unforgettable journey, especially in the year 2020, where extra challenges have arisen across the world. However, it is through these challenges that the spirit of IB truly shines through, corresponding with our school’s motto, “Be Ambitious.”

这个问题看似简单,但并不容易回答。从本质上来说,它是大量学术性工作的基石,也有许多杰出的理论家投身于这方面的研究,但对我们而言最重要的是,通过解答这个问题,我们能够对优秀教学方法的基本要素建立更深刻的理解。
