Mr. Simon Higham, Principal
Dear Parents
Welcome back to the very first Weekly Highlights of 2025 and a very Happy New Year to you all. We trust that you all had a great break and that you and your families are both energised and excited for Term 2.
As always, I would like to extend a specific warm welcome to all our new families who began their BVIS journey with us on Wednesday this week. We are extremely pleased and privileged to have the opportunity to help shape and develop your child(ren’s) successful future.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us should you have any questions – we’re here to support you in any way we can. Details on who to contact can always be found at the end of each week’s Highlights.
Every Friday, I continue to encourage every BVIS parent to put aside at least 10 minutes to read through the Weekly Highlights. They are sent to your email Inbox at the end of each week. The Highlights aim to give our BVIS community an insight into the ongoing successes across EYFS, Primary and Secondary phases of the school, together with providing useful reminders of important future events.
If you prefer to access the Highlights via our school website, all editions can be found in the ‘News’ section on the Homepage.
Simply select your language and click on the 3 lines:

I hope that you enjoy engaging and connecting with us through the Highlights each week.
I am pleased to be able to share with you that next week, on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th January, we will be conducting a series of meetings, tasks and interviews to find our new school Principal.
After an extensive worldwide search, we have shortlisted 3 candidates who will be in school from 8.15am on Monday. I am extremely grateful to parents from the Friends of BVIS, who will be joining the Parent Panel meeting on Monday morning, together with other Panels consisting of teachers and students.
Please look out for the candidates who will be on the exit gates on Monday afternoon – it would be great for you to say ‘hello’ to them!
The outcome of the final interviews are expected to be announced to the BVIS community later this term.
On Tuesday this week, all parents received an email regarding how to purchase the school photographs of your child and their class/Form, that were taken by Picture Day back in November.
