Apple's outstanding achievements are among the first pieces of good news for BVIS students in the 2024 university application season!
The Admissions Boards of the 8 U.S. universities that Apple targeted for pursuing a major in communications were highly impressed by her exceptional personal profile and agreed to award her full four-year scholarships, including the University of Massachusetts at Amherst ($64,000), Wooster College ($180,000), Saint Louis University ($148,000), Beloit College ($168,000), Hofstra University ($156,000), Denison University ($181,600), San Diego State University ($6,000), and the University of Arizona ($76,000). The total scholarship value that Apple has achieved is $979,600, equivalent to 23.5 billion Vietnamese Dong.
Looking at Apple's impressive personal profile, the decision to offer admission and these generous scholarships from the university admissions committees is completely understandable.
"U.S. universities not only consider good grades or excellent academic achievements in their admissions decisions but also evaluate candidates' efforts to surpass their own limits by demonstrating leadership skills and personal development journeys," Apple added.
Apple's passion for the field of communications began with her internship experience at a communications company. She was fascinated by the way her supervisor efficiently used various messages and communication platforms. From there, she gradually decided to pursue this major in college when she chose 3 A-level subjects, including Media Studies, Business, and Mathematics, with the guidance and support of her family and BVIS Secondary School. Understanding what the admissions boards are looking for, Apple spent her personal time after school to seeking opportunities related to her favourite field, actively organising charity programmes, and especially helping other children improve their English skills completely free of charge.
In her main essay, Apple recounted her personal story of striving for development and improvement every day and how she helped those around her become more confident. Through this sharing, she introduced herself to the admissions boards in a friendly and natural way. Apple's essay structure is solid, with supporting essays demonstrating her deep understanding of programme content, student life, and facilities at the universities, showing how she will achieve her academic goals in communications.
"The enthusiasm and passion for teaching of BVIS teachers make even the most difficult concepts seem more familiar. At this young age, I couldn't avoid moments of self-doubt. The advice and friendly conversations I had with the teachers helped me overcome this negative feeling. My achievements cannot be mentioned without the thoughtful support of the teachers in helping me perfect my recommendations letter and personal essay," Apple added.
Congratulations to Apple!
