Hello BVIS community!
This summer, I embarked on a journey to Australia, exploring Monash University (ranked 5th in Australia and 42nd globally). Here, I learned a lot about the campus, majors, and the exciting city life that awaits our students.
While meeting up with some of our BVIS alumni who are rocking it at Monash University and Melbourne University (ranked 1st in Australia and 14th globally), I had such a blast, reminiscing time catching up with them about BVIS and their university adventures.
Huy Anh, one of our incredible alumni, told me, "A-Levels really set me up for success at university. The deep subject knowledge in Psychology I gained made it a breeze to catch up and score well in my major during the first semester."
Jack, An Khang, and Willy echoed that choosing the right A-Level subjects saved much time at university. They said A-Levels had already covered some stuff that their professors assumed they knew. It's like getting a head start!
Willy and Khang, who are both diving into engineering, highlighted how A-Level's strong foundation in Maths and Computer Science has been a game-changer. They're tackling university-level stuff with confidence.
An and Linh, who are pursuing Biomedical Studies due to their love for Biology at BVIS, found A-Levels super helpful. The critical thinking skills and deep subject knowledge they gained made adapting to uni life a breeze.
Our BVIS alumni also shared some golden advice for you. First, cherish your time at BVIS - those connections and memories are priceless. Second, pick your A-Level subjects wisely; they'll be your university superpower. Third, focus on learning during those final two A-Level years - it'll save you time in your first uni year. Lastly, dive into school activities and clubs to make the transition to university’s life smoother.
After that, on my journey to Melbourne City, I bumped into Nam Phuong, a Year 13 BVIS student. She and her family were touring universities in Australia. Nam Phuong mentioned how BVIS taught her to research and find the perfect university fit. Her family supported her every step of the way, even taking this fantastic trip with her.
Nam Phuong's parents are totally on board with backing her choices all the way! They're incredibly proud of her knack for planning, and they give a big shout-out to BVIS for shaping her into a confident global citizen.
As our meeting wrapped up, our BVIS alumni didn't forget to send warm greetings to all of you, wishing you the best for the upcoming academic year.
So, BVIS community, here's the takeaway: BVIS alums are shining in their universities, thanks to A-Levels and the skills they learned here. Let's gear up for an excellent academic year, BVIS style!
