Our school began work on a series of projects over the summer and have completed these over the past few weeks. Students will be very excited when they see the improved facilities.
In Early Years, we’ve got bright attractive new designs around the kitchen and the Early Learning Centre; and the restrooms for students have been renovated to make them more suitable for students’ age and height and the number of students needing to use the toilets.
For the Primary classrooms, we’ve got 25 new laptops and 45 iPads which will be arriving in December and we’ve already fitted into the classrooms SmartScreen ViewSonic screens to replace the interactive whiteboards. They are much better; up to 3 children at a time can work on them and they work like a computer, connecting to other devices really easily.
In the classrooms, we’ve installed new air-conditioners. In the sports hall, we have got a brand-new air purifier system so that when you’re exercising you are breathing in the clean air. The library has got hundreds of new books, including books for young learners, short stories, novels, class readers and teaching materials.
Then, there is the area you go to a playtime: the outside. We have put a rubber floor on the main primary playground so that it’s safer if you fall. And on the playground, They have poured concrete and put a rubber floor on it and artificial grass to make it a much nicer play area.
Before they walk into the school, they will see a fabulous new green grass area where they can relax, and they can sit under the umbrella and have some relaxing times in between their studies. And it has a really lovely peaceful feeling.
We also added a Performance Space – a desk in space where children can either perform dancing, singing during break time, or it can be at an outdoor classroom for safe performing art, for the PE, or the science if they want to work outside.
When you come to school, we have new classrooms and so we have a lot of space that looks fantastic. More Math classrooms, a classroom for A-Level Psychology, and also a new STEAM room where students can try a hand with New Technology and Laser cutting and all sorts of exciting new things for them to do.
