Table Tennis Wins Last week the BST PE department hosted two days of Table Tennis tournaments for Key Stage 3-5 players. Table tennis has been a popular activity during breaks and lunch times and students were keen to test themselves in a more formal manner.

Both tournaments were played in a competitive atmosphere but lots of respect and encouragement was also shown between the players. Both finals were great exhibitions of quality table tennis and it was great to see that the tournament players had stayed behind to watch the final and cheer for their friends.

The overall champion for Key stage 4/5 goes to Sanjarbek having been pushed in a great final by Otabek. Sanjarbek was joined on the champions podium by his brother in Key stage 3, Asilbek Holbaev. Asilbek Holbaev had to work hard to overcome a spirited performance by Asilbek Abduyaminov, both players from year 8, in order to claim his championship.

With such relatively young players in each Key stage demonstrating fierce talent, BST is well placed to challenge in Table Tennis Tournaments around Tashkent in the future.
