Our students are a force for good, effecting genuine change in school, throughout our community, and around the world. Through local and global projects, we empower our students to engage with pressing issues, take action that improves the lives of others, and become socially responsible young citizens.

BUILDING A STRONG COMMUNITY

At BST, we believe in the mutually beneficial impact of hands-on community engagement.

Our students work on projects like our Bolanjor Park clean-up, collect toys for local orphanages, and volunteer at the Gavcheg Dog Shelter. This develops valuable transferable skills, and teaches them to be empathetic, considerate, and self-aware. Students also take part in outreach initiatives, including running weekly conversational English sessions for local children, which make a real difference to people in our community.

GLOBAL CHANGEMAKERS

Working with international organisations – including Tashkent Women's International Group and the British Council – gives our students a global perspective.

Our students organise high-profile fundraising events, including our annual Charity Chess Championships, which sees them work with sponsors like Coca-Cola and Carrefour to raise money to fund treatment for children with cancer.

OUR COLLABORATION WITH UNICEF

Our partnership with UNICEF challenges our students to think about how they can support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development agenda.

Every year, a handful of lucky students head to New York to take part in the Global Challenge, getting involved in seminars and workshops, and speaking in front of world leaders. Activities surrounding World Children’s Day teach our students about their rights, how to protect them, and how to advocate for those who may not have a voice. Your child can join our Model United Nations club, too.
