OUR PARENT COMMUNITY

Our Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is open to everyone. The PTFA fosters a real sense of community spirit and togetherness, planning regular get-togethers – including coffee mornings and quizzes – and contributing to decisions that affect both our students and the wider school community. We also organise groups and activities, including language lessons and our fabulous parent and teacher choir.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What size are your classes?
    Our class sizes vary by age group. Our early years children learn in classes of 15, with a ratio of one teacher for every seven students. Our average primary and secondary class size is 24.
  • What after-school activities do you offer?
    We provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities, from sports and science to dance and drama. In sport, for example, our teams complete against schools in Tashkent and across Central Asia. And in music, your child can join one of our choirs or orchestras, or learn a new instrument.
  • What excursions and trips do you run?
    We organise days out in Tashkent, as well as residential trips to Bukhara, Khiva, and Samarkand. We also offer life-changing overseas expeditions to destinations including Berlin, Warsaw, Switzerland, and Bratislava.
  • Do you provide a school lunch?
    Yes, we provide healthy morning and afternoon snacks, as well as a well-balanced, nutritious lunch. All food and drinks are included in your child’s tuition fees.
  • How will you help my child to settle in?
    Both you and your child will quickly feel at home in our welcoming school community. We’ll make sure you have the information you need ahead of your child’s first day. They’ll also be allocated a buddy when they start. Our expert pastoral care team will keep a close eye on their health, happiness, and wellbeing, too.
  • Where do your families live? And do you provide a bus service?
    Our families typically live either in the city centre or in one of Tashkent’s suburbs. We don’t provide a bus service to and from the school.
