Before staring my current role, I previously worked at BST in both IT and HR departments. I have always love working in a school; where I enjoy spending time in a vibrant environment and can see the way children develop and grow to be independent over the years.

My current job involves assessing and ensuring all water, drain, electricity, gas systems and facilities used in the school are safe and operating at optimum level. In addition, I work with the security teams to ensure that all access protocols are observed 24 hours a day and confirm power fluctuation do not affect the school and business may continue as usual.

My biggest challenge in my current role has been the STEAM Centre project. The project started in December 2019 and the STEAM Centre was completed by September 2020 – just 9 months! During this period, I had to manage numerous revisions of plans, two lockdowns and a new Principal coming on board with his own vision.

Interesting fact - I am allergic to pet hair so have never had any pets. However, 3 years ago I found a stray kitten near the school and was moved. The kitten was in really bad condition and when I took her to the vets, he told me she was unlikely to survive as she had a disease and could not eat or drink. However, I did not give up hope and continued to give her the medicines recommended. After 3 month Plyushka (my cat) started to eat and drink normally and funnily enough I am not allergic to her at all.
